GOING PAPERLESS JUST GOT EASIER WITH THE LATEST RELEASE OF OPTIVIEW® ECM FROM ADVANCED PROCESSING & IMAGING
Deerfield Beach, Florida – April 27, 2009 – Advanced Processing & Imaging (API), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, announced today the public release of OptiView 8.2. This release includes over 30 new features and enhancements that will help the “paperless” efforts of current and future customers. “API remains steadfast in our commitment to customer satisfaction” said Mel Rothberg, Chief Executive Officer at Advanced Processing & Imaging. “We worked closely with our customers to determine many of the new features and enhancements in OptiView ECM 8.2.” Customers of API know OptiView ECM as being a powerful document management and imaging solution, integrating easily with many line-of-business software platforms and providing end-to-end secure scanning and storage of sensitive records. Now with the latest release of OptiView ECM, API has once again raised the bar.
New OptiView ECM features and highlights include:
- Vista Compatibility
OptiView is now fully Microsoft Windows Vista-compatible.
- Additional Software Integration
OptiView now fully integrates with MS Dynamics Solomon, MS Dynamics CRM, MS Dynamics Great Plains (Version 9 & 10), ConnectWise, Sage Abra Suites, New World Systems, BlueZone, MS Excel, ArcGIS/ArcMap/ArcReader, LookingGlass, J.D. Edwards OneWorld, CrossPointe Schools Online, CISCO CAPS and many other applications. In addition, our new OptiConnect-W allows OptiView to integrate to many html based applications.
- Enhanced Software Integration
OptiView has enhanced it’s abilities to integrate with SunGard NaviLine & HostExplorer (Hummingbird) Emulation offering more flexibility and stability with these applications.
- Additional Email Applications Supported
In addition to MS Outlook, API added Lotus Notes and Novell Groupwise to the list of email applications that are supported and launched through OptiView.
- Enhanced Inbox Features
Users may set their own default Inbox and OptiView will monitor this inbox for the arrival of new files and notify the user of new files by displaying an envelope icon in the lower right corner of the main OptiView Panel. Other enhancements include the ability to view, parse, and save multi-page TIFFs from inside the Inbox, and the ability to print a page range while viewing a multi-page TIFF from inside the Inbox.
- Document Version Control
This is a global switch managed by OptiView Administrators. When turned on, end-users must check documents out and check them back in if they are going to be making changes to the files such as adding or removing annotations. Only OptiView administrators can rollback a file to any previous version, but all end users may view previous versions of a file. A history of each change to a file is maintained throughout the process.
- Advanced Text Search Options
Users can now perform more detailed searches. Users can choose between searching for or excluding a specific file format such as MS Word documents, TIFFs, or PDFs. Users can also define their search to find exact matches or partial matches as well as find multiple words, phrases, or partial phrases.
